The History
This historic site at 101 North Salina Street, rooted in Syracuse’s early days as Bogardus Corners, has long been a centerpiece of growth and community life. From its days as a hub along the Erie Canal to housing the headquarters of The Post-Standard, the building has evolved alongside the city itself, reflecting each new chapter in downtown Syracuse’s development.
Over the past five years, VIP Structures has been leading the building’s transformation through a thoughtful adaptive reuse strategy. By reimagining the structure for modern uses while retaining the character that makes it a downtown landmark, the project has introduced new energy and purpose to the site. The latest phase brings 72 new apartments to the heart of Syracuse’s downtown, further activating the property as a vibrant mixed-use destination and ensuring this iconic corner continues to serve the city’s evolving needs.
